1. Virus Scan & Removal
2. Malware Scan & Removal
3. Check all software is up to date
4. Check you are using the latest drivers
5. Check Antivirus software is installed and up to date
6. Check Antispyware software is installed and up to date
7. Check a firewall is in use either on PC or Router side
8. Set restore point

1. Remove temporary and unwanted files
2. Remove any unwanted start up items
3. Disk clean up
4. Check virtual memory
5. Run a disk defragment
6. Optimise drives

1. Monitor and Video Card drivers are up to date, and resolution is correct
2. Check CD/DVD drive is working correctly, and can read/write
3. Check the amount of memory installed
4. Check amount of free hard drive space
5. Ensure speakers are working
